By viewing actual hazard photos taken during the inspection process, we will seek to understand why they are so dangerous to those exposed to them, why they are cited, and why they need to be abated. |

Gary Anderson, MNOSHA Principal Safety Investigator“Lock out-Tag out” This session will review the types of citations MN OSHA has been issuing for the lock out-tag out standard. Will include a review of the major sections of the standard and possible abatement procedures. In addition, actual examples of serious injuries and fatalities that have occurred due to non-compliance will be reviewed. |

Tyrone Taylor, MNOSHA Construction Supervisor & Doug Swenson, Operations Manager, Philippi Equipment Company“Crane Updates”The MN state legislature passed a statute that will require the certification of some crane operators on construction work sites. This will go into effect on July 1, 2007. This session will define which operators need certification in reference to the size and type of crane they are operating. It will discuss why some crane operators may be exempt from this statute, depending on the type and location where they perform. Lastly, we will discuss operator training requirements. |
