The Regional Employer Support Network will host a panel of financial planners and bankers discussing retirement benefit planning services and plan structures from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. September 6 at the Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College Center for Research and Innovation Custom College, located at 3801 Bemidji Avenue North.

The panel of experts will be discussing and presenting information regarding a variety of retirement benefit plans and explaining how they differ. An overview will be provided of retirement benefit planning services available to businesses and individuals in the community. Different plan designs, plan requirements and levels of asset accessibility will specifically be discussed.
Panel members and presenters are Paul Welle and Jacquie Williamson, representing First National Bank of Bemidji; Eileen Bretschneider, representing Edward Jones; and David Moffett, representing Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. All are from Bemidji.
The Regional Employer Support Network was formed after employers in the region expressed the need for a network of professionals involved in human resources development and management. It usually meets the first Thursday of each month with regular sessions lasting two hours and quarterly sessions lasting longer. The sessions are open to anyone interested in learning more about the featured topic.
CRICC staff members help facilitate RESN activities, and organizations collaborating to support the group include North Country Health Services, North Country Business Products, Potlatch, Bi-CAP, Johanneson, Inc., Pinnacle Publishing and Anderson Fabrics.
The CRICC is an off-campus facility operated by Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College designed to increase collaboration between the University, the College, business and industry and other sectors of the region. The outreach resources offered provide greater variety and easier access to customized training and business services in addition to providing a one-stop-shop, linking external organizations to the region’s higher education knowledge base.
