NW Regional Small Business
Development Center Congratulates New Business Owners
Holly Howes has opened a new Tea and Gift shop in
downtown Bemidji. Holly has many
gift items as well as a small deli that provides great food and wonderful
Tea items. The SBDC helped Holly
get her Business Plan and Cash Flow together.
Trish Ritchie owns Advanced Design Solutions, a web
design company. Trish’s partner,
Jennifer Frisco, provides services in the Crookston area. Advanced Design Solutions Specialties
are Web Page design and hosting, Graphic Design, and Digital
Photography. The SBDC helped Trish
with her Marketing plan.

you start a business. Learn how to take your dream and turn it in to
reality. The session will be held November 10, 2pm-4pm at the Center for Research

Grant Writing Certificate Program Continues
Bemidji
State University Center for Research and Innovation continues the Grant
Writing Certificate Program. The certificate program is comprised of
11 different classes. Each class fits a specific need to improve
grant-writing skills. The classes, while intended to build on one
another to complete the Grant Writing Certificate, will stand alone to meet
specific needs of the participant.

Academy of Lifelong Learning Wraps Up
Their Fall Series
The Academy of
Lifelong Learning offers their final 3 presentations at the Center for
Research and Innovation. The Academy coordinates educational
programming for retired persons in the Bemidji area. The
presentations are usually held Tuesdays at 10am at the Center for Research
and Innovation. To learn more about upcoming weekly presentations or

Dr.
Luther Aadlund Presents Program On The Red River
The Bemidji Area Natural Resources Continuing Education
Consortium presents Dr. Luther Aadlund, River Ecologist with the MN
Department of Natural Resources.
Dr. Aadlund will present information about the Red River on Monday,
November 24 at 3pm. There is no
charge to attend the presentation held at the Center for Research and
