Vision Statement

Located in a regional economic hub, Bemidji State University is strategically positioned to further the social and economic vitality of Northern Minnesota. As the outreach arm of the University, The Center for Research and Innovation will become the regional focal point to bring innovative ideas to fruition, link external resources to Bemidji State University and MnSCU faculty, staff, and students, and provide services to regional businesses to provide them with the competitive advantage to function in the global marketplace. To accomplish this, the Center must solidify internal and external partnerships, identify unique market opportunities to the University, and differentiate from other higher education institutions.

The Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) is an off campus facility operated by Bemidji State University designed to increase collaboration between the University, business and industry and other sectors of the region. CRI was formed to focus efforts on training, education and entrepreneurial needs of Northwestern Minnesota and beyond.

Located approximately one mile from the main university campus, the facility provides excellent accommodations for prospective clients. The CRI has a large parking facility and is open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M, Monday through Friday and is operated in a business center. Conference rooms, a computer lab, and office space rental are available, along with a team of skilled staff members who are well trained in strategic development processes.
