Dr. Steven Derfler returns to Bemidji on April 9, 2008 for a full day program on one of the most holy cities in the world, Jerusalem. Using his slides and lecture format with questions and answer periods, participants will explore the foundations for the three great religions of the world (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) which lie within her walls. Jerusalem remains in the news, whether it is controversy surrounding the Temple Mount for the Jews, Hara mesh-Sharif for Moslems or the possibility of the discovery of the tomb of Jesus.
ALL has joined with Northern Exposure for Lifelong Learning (NELL) to bring this program to Bemidji. It will be held at the Evangelical Covenant Church (across from the Amigo Theater) on Wednesday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a modest fee of $20 per person which includes the program, lunch and refreshments.
In order to properly prepare for lunch and refreshments, we ask that you register ahead of time rather than at the door, on the day of the event. Your check, made out to NELL, may be sent to Alan Goldberg, 119 Shorecrest Road, Bemidji, Mn. 56601.
